Engineering Sector

Salary, OTE: TBC  & Annual Bonus
Location: Brighouse

This role is in our small internal sales team.  The main focus is quoting in response to enquiries and converting these quotes to sales with an additional responsibility for speaking with target customers to understand their needs, explain our offer and book appointments for the Sales Director.

Customer Service and responsiveness is how we differentiate ourselves, meaning technical knowledge of valves and engineering equipment is a pre-requisite for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to inbound customer enquiries (received by phone and email) by:
  • Questioning to fully understand their needs
  • Providing technical advice (as required)
  • Quoting from our stock list or
  • Working with procurement department to request RFQs to approved suppliers in order to quote
  • Managing your pipeline and converting quotes to sales to achieve your sales targets
  • Raise POs with suppliers (when needed) once customers have ordered
  • Ensure the CRM, spreadsheets and any other documentation required are up to date and issued correctly
  • Contact potential customers in our target market to:
  • Understand their needs
  • Explain our offer
  • Book appointments for the Sales Director
  • Work as part of the team and actively participate in sales meetings – bringing your data, sharing learnings, and making suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Log, investigate and resolve customer issues as and when required.
Skills & Experience Required
  • 5 years+ experience of selling valves or other mechanical items to the following sectors – water, wastewater, offshore and Petro-chemical industries.
  • Able to read data sheets
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Able to work in a fast-paced Environment
  • Driven to hit Sales Targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Organised
  • Computer literate with Microsoft packages and previous experience of using a CRM system.
